If you're hankering for a corned beef sandwich, or even if your not, you must try Yitz's Deli in Thornhill (Bathurst/Hwy 407). The sandwiches are simply delicious!
I took my parents there recently. My father was in the mood for a corned beef sandwich on his birthday. But, it couldn't be just any old corned beef sandwich. It had to be "mouth-watering." The beef had to be moist and flavourful, thinly sliced, melt-in-your-mouth, and mounded to a generous thickness. Neither too lean, nor too fat, with just the perfect saltiness and spice.
Yitz's did not disappoint. My father had not a single criticism -- which (believe me) is unnatural. To top it off, the staff went out of their way to provide extra special service. Thank you Yitz's Deli!

Just dined at the new YITZ'S DELI in Thornhill. Wow!! Great young enthusiastic staff. Had their BBQ Prime Beef Ribs--OUTSTANDING!! Best deal in Toronto @ $10.95 for 4 huge meaty Beef Ribs + potato and Slaw. My companion had their combination Deli Sandwich (9oz)of Baby Beef and Pastrami. Absolutely mouth watering and huge. They also have Potato Latka NUGGETS!! They are incredible with Apple Sauce. Pie for dessert was a bit dissapointing, but our waitress had it removed from our bill without question. Newest deli in Thornhill and owned by the same people from Eglington. Cudos to the Manager Howard who was professional, polite, very accomodating and actually very funny. (Table beside us ordered a monster Chopped Sirloin (14oz) and they were astonished at the size and presentation of this dish...Excellent. ROB WALKER--Richmond Hill

If you're in the mood for a true deli sandwich, Yitz is the place to get it! My first time there and it surely will not be my last. The corned beef on rye really does melt in your mouth. Be sure to talk a stroll by the humidor on your way out. Great selection of cigars and there is something in everybody's price range! A+

Still the best true deli in Toronto. The corned beef or pastrami melts in your mouth. The chicken in the pot was outstanding. Nobody makes a better Lemon Pie. What a treat, a true Toronto landmark and the cigars we bought were the best prices we found in Toronto.

I used to live just around the corner, then moved to Texas. It's true what 'they' say, you don't know what you've got until it's gone. Great soup, great sandwiches and an atmosphere all it's own! Anytime I'm back in T.O., a visit to Yitz's is a must!

Best BABY BEEF Sandwich in T.O. The other deli's don't even come close. Love their "Dollar Chip" fried potatoes. Great Homemade Potato Salad. Wash it all down with a Vernor's and pick up a "Cuban" on your way out. Really good Deli Food and prices very much in line. Something must be right because the place was packed solid at 1:30 on a Wednesday afternoon. Place looks, feels, and smells like a full fledged deli. Service was very fast, and waitress was chatty with a good sense of humour. Love this place!!

What you see is what you get. A great old school deli with mean pastrami sandwiches. Pick up a loaf of Challah bread on the way out, it's the best I've had ! -A.R. Toronto.

The sandwich tasted good, but I have NEVER had so little meat for $8 before. It wasnt even 3/4in including the bread.

I enjoyed my dining experience especially the ambience. I also purchased some cigars based on advise there that turned out to be to my liking.
