My wife and I try to make it out to Spiga as much as we can (live in the west end) because we are always sure to be satisfied with the great Italian food and service from the friendly staff.
I also make the effort to go there for lunch with the boys for the great Veal on a bun and a glass of house red wine. You don't stay in buisness all these years if your not doing things right.....Tony Dell'Osso

we arrived to find the restaurant quite busy but we got seated within minutes of our arrival. our server rob was very courteous and led us through the specials and menu choices. the food was prepared fast and came to the table hot. we declined the fabulous desserts since we were all very full from dinner. since being renovated we love the new atmosphere and the staff has always been friendly and attentive to their customers. make a point of saying hi to the chef joe as he loves the attention.

Great Restaurant, great food, at a great price. Staff very friendly and always willing to customize your meal to your personal liking whenever possible.

Spiga does not use canned vegetables as one reviewer might suggest (July, 2004). The food is delish. The variety of salads is huge and unique. The only 'canned' veggies you might come across are chickpeas.

Spiga is second to none. The pastas are exceptionally well done, same for the pizzas and entrees. Their new renovation gives the place a new hip feel while preserving its existing charm. The waitstaff is exceptionially courteous, friendly and attentive. I will definitely keep going back again and again.

You know the food is bad when you get canned vegetables in your pasta. If you are looking for good Italian food, this is NOT the place.

As we entered the newly renovated Spiga Ristorante, we were greeted by Vince the owner with the his standard Italian style two cheek kiss and a "Welcome back hug". We were intoducing friends to Spiga for the first time. The place was almost full yet the busy staff made a point of stopping at our table to say hello. My wife commented that it apeared as though the renovations had attracted a younger crowd. The new renovations seemed to have brighten up the place while still retaining it's warmth. After enjoying a wonderfull dinner with our friends I asked them to share what they thought of this place. They said they could not get over the service from the friendy staff that makes you feel like family and the great food, they now have made Spiga their number one choice for Italian food.

My boyfriend and I have been going to Spiga for years. Recently, we've noticed that the quality of the house wine, which used to be phenomenal, is not so great. The pastas, which used to be steller, are not always consistently good. The value is still great if you are lucky enough to land a good meal. The restaurant attracts an older crowd, so if you're looking for hip, head over to Terroni's down the street.

Let's put it this way. For a great meal, good wine and a place to have great conversation wtih friends, be it at the dinner table or at the bar next door, Spiga is top notch.
