Great Place, nice decor, excellent service. The only thing is that when it is busy, the restaurant is way too loud, I suggest lunch instead of dinner.

Great decor. Great food, I had the pad thai and loved it, and will be back soon! Prices were also good.

Lemongrass' cuisine is somewhat curiously described as being Vietnamese and Thai. I'm sure this type of misrepresentation would go unnoticed if you were someone who knew nothing of either cuisine. Lemongrass serves up modified chinese food disguised as something else. As someone who comes from that region, Lemongrass is an insult to our cuisine. To add insult to injury, the arrogance of the servers and their unwillingness to correct various problems throughout our meal, Lemongrass is a pathetic excuse for a restaurant, especially in the Leaside.

The restaurant bills itself as specializing in Vietnamese and Thai cuisine - we decided to take it up on that since we are Thai afficionados. We selected two random dishes from the 'Thai' section. A yellow curry and a chili shrimp. We quickly discovered that both of the dishes were modified Cantonese dishes. The "Lemongrass Yellow Curry" was nothing more than a typical cantonese coconut-curry powder curry with potatoes (in thai curry?!?) and lemongrass flavour The Chili Shrimp fared the same - diced vegetables, hoisin and oyster sauce and chili make for a typical cantonese dish - some lemongrass was added to make it 'Thai'. Overall tasty food but dissapointing if you are looking for Thai.

My family loves Thai food, and in our search for the ultimate Thai experience, we ended up at Bayview & Eglinton. Lemongrass contains all the traditional Thai and Vietnamese dishes, with a nouveau spin on things. Unlike some other Thai places in the city, which lean towards bland, the dishes are all very flavourfull. The curries are highly recommended as are the vietnamese spring rolls. When in the mood for Thai/Vietnamese, we almost always visit Lemongrass. It has yet to let us down.
